Meet Beret Finken—our Best in Art v9.23 Grant Recipient
Beret Finken - $1,000 Grant
Beret is a Southern Minnesota-based songwriter and musician. She graduated from Bethany Lutheran College in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in Music and Theatre. Blending the sounds of her soft, ethereal vocals, simple yet rich instrumentation, and unique folk-inspired style, Beret strives to evoke strong feelings of nostalgia and introspection in her listeners through her musical storytelling.

Love is a current undergraduate student in pursuits of her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Love's portraits feature stories of people and everyday life, specifically depicting Black women in a beautiful, carefree light.
Ben Liebl
Ben graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Art degree in drawing in 2021 and is a current Master of Art candidate at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Going into his first semester of graduate school, Ben has recently decided to change his focus from painting and drawing to three-dimensional forms using mixed media.
